Charlotte Rowse - Owner, Director & Dance Teacher
Charlotte has had a keen interest in performance from an age of 2, beginning her dance tuition with Adele Meads School of Dance. Today, she is a qualified dance teacher and associate with Allied Dance Association. In 2005, she completed a BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts (Performance) at Yale College of Wrexham. In 2011 Charlotte joined Shine as dance tutor, becoming co-owners with Lowri Wynne in 2013, and most recently in 2015 became sole owner of the academy.
Her commitment to community engagement is also evident in her freelance work locally; 2010 saw Charlotte become Choreographer for Denbigh Musical Theatre Company (DMTC) before she also took on the role of Director and Co-Director in 2015. She also provides regular dance & drama tuition for mental health service-users.

Ashleigh Veale - Drama teacher

Ashleigh began performing at a young age as a choir boy at St Asaph Cathedral. In the following years he developed as a classical singer in various choirs and companies such as Bangor University Chorus, Cor Meibion Maelgwn, and most recently sang as part of the Welsh National Opera Community Choir. Although Ashleigh has a performance background in music, he decided to develop further as an actor and has recently graduated with BA Hons in Theatre, Television and Performance.

Ashleigh joined the Shine team in 2017.

Sarah Davies - Singing & Drama Teacher

Sarah began performing at the early age of 10. Living for the arts, Sarah performs in many festivals around Wales, as well as travelling around Europe and America with her guitar in hand, entertaining whenever the opportunity has arisen. In addition to her theatrical commitment, Sarah spends time helping people with special needs. Over the years Sarah has also been involved with Denbigh Musical Theatre Company, North Wales Youth Choir, Encore and many more, and also sings at weddings on a regular basis.

Sarah has graduated with BA (Hons) in Theatre, Television and Performance earlier this year.

Sarah has supported Shine since the very beginning and joined our team in 2016.

Carlene - Singing & Drama Teacher

Carlene is originally from South Wales where she studied musical theatre at Burleigh Academy. Carlene was a member of the local gospel choir and the musical & pantomime society, performing at the Dolman Theatre annually, as well as several other productions in various locations throughout the years.

Carlene also trained through the summer holidays with the dance company Ballet Cymru, performing at the Eisteddfod.

Carlene then continued her studies in performing arts at King Alfred's University, Winchester, and has also performed in shows with Basingstoke Amatuer Operatics Society, along with regular performances in local venues & events across Hampshire.

In addition to Carlene's commitments to performing arts, she is also a carer within the mental health sector.

Carlene has a National Diploma in Musical Theatre and graduated with a BA (Hons) degree in Drama.

We are very excited and looking forward to having Carlene join the Shine team in January 2020.
